ARBITRARE
ARBITRARE is an institutionalized arbitration centre with national scope, created in 2009 and integrated in the network of Portuguese Arbitration Centres supported by the State. ARBITRARE is competent to resolve disputes in three areas:
1. Industrial Property
Industrial property aims to ensure the protection of inventions (Patents, Utility Models, Supplementary Protection Certificate and Semiconductor Topographies), design and signs that serve to identify, in the market, any products, services, establishments or entities (trademarks, logotypes, awards, appellations of origin, geographic indications of source).

2. .PT Domain Names
A domain is a name that is easily memorized and is used to locate and identify computers on the Internet. (e.g. arbitrare.pt).

3. Trade Names and Corporate Names
A trade name or a corporate name is a distinctive sign which serves to identify and individualize an entity (natural or legal person) in the exercise of its activity.
A trade name usually comprises the name(s) of the partners or associates. A corporate name comprises other combinations, such as abbreviations, made up expressions and terms or idiomatic expressions.
