ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE REGULATION ON DIGITAL SERVICES ACT

On the 17th of November, the new European legislation on online Platforms entered into force, establishing a new set of European Union rules for a safer and more responsible online environment for all.

The regulation applies to all digital services that connect consumers to goods, services or content.

By creating new comprehensive obligations for online platforms, the new legislation creates new means of protection for users and legal security for businesses across the single market.

As a pioneering regulatory instrument worldwide, the Regulation on Digital Services Act will also act as an international reference for a regulatory approach to online intermediaries
